War and bloodshed, famine and plague, have diminished the population. The city of Ravenbrook is nestled in the middle of what used to be called the United States of America. Few are left who remember what it used to be like before society dissolved. 

 

Surrounded by barbed wire and electric fences, Ravenbrook has retreated to the medieval. The customs are barbaric. The soldiers and police, called Enforcers, are allowed to run rampant with cruelty. Social classes have been drawn. 

 

The North and The South. The strong and the weak. The worthy and the worthless. 

 

Starvation and suffering consume The South. Public whippings and hangings are the norm. Children are orphaned daily. Husbands are killed, their wives left to defend themselves from the monsters who take what they want at will. The poor are struggling to survive. And the price for breaking the law is greater than anyone could imagine. 

 

But all is not sunshine and rainbows in The North. It has long been said that wealth doesn't by happiness. In this case, wealth buys despair. But the stakes are high and none of them can show how large a price they must pay for the life they are forced to live. 

 

When a select few reach their breaking point, when they are done fighting just to survive, done dealing with the cruelty and malicious treatment ... when they are pushed just a little too far ... all hell breaks loose in the city of Ravenbrook. Destruction ensues, unlike anything they have ever seen, threatening to tear the city apart at the seams.
